Solid Gold ~ Minyak turun mendekati US $ 53 per barel terkait AS yang menambahkan jumlah bornya untuk minggu ke-13, melawan upaya yang dipimpin OPEC untuk memangkas surplus pasokan global.

Minyak berjangka turun 0,3 persen di New York setelah naik 1,8 persen pekan lalu. Eksplorer AS menambahkan 11 bor pekan lalu, mencatatkan rentang waktu kenaikan terpanjang sejak 2011, menurut data Baker Hughes Inc. Pasar minyak global bergerak mendekati untuk menyeimbangkan meskipun AS masih mengalami kenaikan, Saudi Arabian Oil Co Chief Executive Officer Amin Nasser mengatakan Jumat lalu.

West Texas Intermediate untuk pengiriman Mei turun 16 sen menjadi $ 53,02 per barel di New York Mercantile Exchange pada 10:06 pagi di Sydney. Total volume perdagangan sekitar 59 persen di bawah rata-rata 100-harinya.

Brent untuk pengiriman Juni turun 15 sen, atau 0,3 persen, ke $ 55,74 per barel di London-based ICE Futures Europe exchange. Minyak mentah acuan global diperdagangkan pada premi sebesar $ 2,31 untuk WTI Juni. Oil declined near $53 a barrel as U.S. explorers added rigs for a 13th week, countering OPEC-led efforts to cut a global supply surplus.

Futures fell by 0.3 percent in New York after gaining 1.8 percent last week. U.S. explorers added 11 rigs last week, capping the longest stretch of gains since 2011, according to Baker Hughes Inc. data. The global oil market is movingcloser to balance despite the U.S. shale boom, Saudi Arabian Oil Co. Chief Executive Officer Amin Nasser said Friday.

West Texas Intermediate for May delivery fell 16 cents to $53.02 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange at 10:06 a.m. in Sydney. Total volume traded was about 59 percent below the 100-day average.

Brent for June settlement dropped 15 cents, or 0.3 percent, to $55.74 a barrel on the London-based ICE Futures Europe exchange. The global benchmark crude traded at a $2.31 premium to June WTI. No futures were traded in New York or London on Friday due to the Easter holiday.
