Gubernur Haruhiko Kuroda mengatakan kepada wartawan setelah pasar saham ditutup kemarin bahwa BOJ akan mempertahankan kurva imbal hasil dan terus memperluas basis moneter sampai inflasi di atas 2 persen.

Indeks Topix naik 0,3% ke 1,556.30 pada pukul 09:10 pagi di Tokyo. Indeks Nikkei 225 menguat 0,3% ke 19,557.37. Keuntungan yen kurang dari 0,1% dan berada di level $ 117,75.

Nikkei 225 Stock Average naik hampir 3 persen dalam tahun ini setelah menghapuskan kerugian sebanyak 21 persen, didukung oleh reli pada pasar saham global yang dipicu oleh kemenangan pemilu Donald Trump pada bulan November lalu. Bursa saham Hong Kong menunjukkan pemulihan kecil pada Rabu pagi setelah mengalami kerugian dalam empat hari dan mengikuti reli di Wall Street karena investor meninjau serangan mematikan terakhir di Eropa.

Indeks Hang Seng naik 0,32 persen, atau 69,49 poin, ke 21,798.55 segera setelah pembukaan perdagangan.

Dan Indeks Shanghai Composite naik 0,14 persen, atau 4,36 poin, menjadi 3,107.24 sedangkan Indeks Shenzhen Composite, yang melacak saham di bursa kedua China, menambahkan 0,19 persen, atau 3,70 poin, menjadi 1,985.02.(frk)

Emas sedikit berubah di perdagangan Asia karena penguatan dolar membebani sentimen investor.

Bullion untuk pengiriman segera berada di $ 1,131.67 per ons pada pukul 08:34 pagi di Singapura, level terendah sejak 15 Desember, menurut Bloomberg.

Pada Selasa kemarin, logam ditutup turun 0,5 persen dan berada di level $ 1,132.35 per ons, dan telah menyentuh level terendah sejak 29 Januari lalu.

Indeks Bloomberg Dollar Spot sedikit berubah; sejauh ini telah menguat 7,6% dalam kuartalan, ditetapkan untuk kenaikan tiga bulan terbesar sejak kuartal ketiga 2008.(frk)

Japan shares rose, tracking gains in U.S. equities and as the yen held losses after the Bank of Japan signaled it remains committed to easy monetary policy. Governor Haruhiko Kuroda told reporters after the market close Tuesday that the BOJ would maintain the yield curve and keep expanding the monetary base until inflation is above 2 percent.

Topix Index advanced 0.3% to 1,556.30 as of 9:10 am in Tokyo. Nikkei 225 Index gain 0.3% to 19,557.37. Yen gains less than 0.1% to 117.75 vs dollar.

The Nikkei 225 Stock Average is up almost 3 percent this year after wiping out a loss of as much as 21 percent, bolstered by a global stock market rally triggered by Donald Trump�s election victory in November. The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at a fresh record in New York.

Hong Kong shares staged a small recovery Wednesday morning after suffering four days of losses and following a rally on Wall Street as investors looked past deadly attacks in Europe.

The Hang Seng Index rose 0.32 percent, or 69.49 points, to 21,798.55 soon after opening.

And the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index increased 0.14 percent, or 4.36 points, to 3,107.24 while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China’s second exchange, added 0.19 percent, or 3.70 points, to 1,985.02.

Gold was little-changed in Asia as dollar�s advance weighs on investor sentiment.

Bullion for immediate delivery at $1,131.67/oz at 8:34am in Singapore, lowest since Dec. 15: Bloomberg generic pricing.

Metal closed down 0.5 percent Tuesday at $1,132.35/oz, and had touched the lowest since Jan. 29.

The Bloomberg Dollar Spot Index was little changed; has gained 7.6% in the quarter so far, set for the biggest three-month advance since the third quarter of 2008.
