Pt Solid Gold Berjangka ~ Harga emas berakhir lebih rendah pada hari Senin ini, setelah upaya sebelumnya untuk rebound. Harga diperdagangkan secara singkat setinggi $ 1,258.90 pada pembukaan, sebelum mengakhiri dengan kekalahan pertamanya dalam tiga sesi.

Gold prices settled lower on Monday, after an earlier attempt to rebound. Prices briefly traded as high as $1,258.90 intraday, before finishing with their first loss in three sessions.

“Technical resistance at $1,260 is still playing a major role in the price action for gold futures but intraday, it was the headlines of Chinese troop deployments to the North Korean border that spooked markets and once again spurred a geopolitical fear bid in gold,” said Tyler Richey, co-editor of the Sevens Report. June gold GCM7, -0.11% fell $3.40, or 0.3%, to settle at $1,253.90 an ounce.

Oil futures settled higher Monday, stretching their wining streak to a fifth consecutive session, as the shutdown of Libya�s largest oil field and uncertainty in the Middle East, following the U.S. airstrike on Syria, raised concerns over disruptions to global crude supplies.

May West Texas Intermediate crude, +1.44% tacked on 84 cents, or 1.6%, to settle at $53.08 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. That was the highest settlement since March 7, according to data from Dow Jones. June Brent crude, +1.21% on London�s ICE Futures exchange added 74 cents, or 1.3%, to $55.98 a barrel.

Elsewhere in the energy complex, petroleum products traded on Nymex finished higher along with oil on Monday. May gasoline RBK7, +0.66% added 1.2 cents, or 0.7%, to $1.758 a gallon and May heating oil, +1.12% added 1.9 cents, or 1.2%, to $1.647 a gallon.
