minyak8Pt Solid Gold Berjangka ~ Minyak memperpanjang penurunan di bawah $ 50 per barel terkait pengeboran di AS terus meningkatkan aktivitasnya, melawan upaya OPEC untuk mengurangi kelebihan pasokan global.

Minyak berjangka turun sebanyak 1,2 persen di New York setelah jatuh 9,1 persen pekan lalu. Pengeboran menargetkan minyak mentah di AS naik ke level tertingginya sejak September 2015, menurut data Jumat lalu dari Baker Hughes Inc. Di Libya, produksi minyak mentah turun 11 persen karena bentrokan antara kelompok rival bersenjata menyebabkan penutupan dari beberapa terminal ekspor minyak terbesar OPEC di negara tersebut.

West Texas Intermediate untuk pengiriman April kehilangan sebanyak 59 sen menjadi $ 47,90 per barel di New York Mercantile Exchange dan diperdagangkan di $ 48,06 pada 08:00 pagi di Hong Kong. Total volume perdagangan sekitar 74 persen di atas rata-rata 100-harinya. Kontrak turun 79 sen menjadi $ 48,49 pada hari Jumat, mencatatkan penurunan mingguan terbesar sejak November.

Oil extended its decline below $50 a barrel as U.S. drillers continued to boost activity, countering OPEC�s efforts to drain a global glut.

Futures slid as much as 1.2 percent in New York after falling 9.1 percent last week. Rigs targeting crude in the U.S. rose to the most since September 2015, according to data Friday from Baker Hughes Inc. In Libya, crude production dropped 11 percent as clashes among rival armed groups led to the closure of some of the OPEC nation�s biggest oil export terminals.

West Texas Intermediate for April delivery lost as much as 59 cents to $47.90 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange and traded at $48.06 at 8 a.m. in Hong Kong. Total volume traded was about 74 percent above the 100-day average. The contract dropped 79 cents to $48.49 on Friday, capping the biggest weekly decline since November.

Brent for May settlement fell as much as 52 cents, or 1 percent, to $50.85 a barrel on the London-based ICE Futures Europe exchange. Prices slid 8.1 percent last week. The benchmark traded at a $2.39 premium to May WTI.
