pt solid gold berjangka ~ Minyak melanjutkan kenaikannya setelah data pemerintah mingguan menunjukkan persediaan AS turun ke level terendahnya sejak Februari, pemangkasan stok di tingkat musiman tertinggi dalam setidaknya tiga dekade terakhir.

Minyak berjangka November naik sebanyak 0,8 persen di New York setelah menguat 2,9 persen pada Rabu kemarin. Persediaan turun sebesar 6,2 juta barel pekan lalu, menurut Energy Information Administration. Sebuah survei Bloomberg sebelum laporan memperkirakan kenaikan sebanyak 3,25 juta barel. Anggota OPEC Arab Saudi dan Iran, yang persaingannya melemahkan kesepakatan mengenai pasokan minyak awal tahun ini, bertemu di Wina seminggu sebelum organisasi tersebut mengadakan pembicaraan di Aljazair.

November futures rose as much as 0.8 percent in New York after advancing 2.9 percent on Wednesday. Inventories fell by 6.2 million barrels last week, according to the Energy Information Administration. A Bloomberg survey before the report forecast a 3.25 million barrel gain. OPEC members Saudi Arabia and Iran, whose rivalry derailed an oil supply accord earlier this year, met in Vienna a week before the organization holds talks in Algeria.

West Texas Intermediate for November delivery advanced as much as 34 cents to $45.68 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange and was at $45.60 at 8:40 a.m. in Hong Kong. The contract rose $1.29 to close at $45.34 on Wednesday. Total volume traded was about 63 percent below the 100-day average. Prices have averaged about $44.80 this quarter.

Brent for November settlement rose as much as 30 cents, or 0.6 percent, to $47.13 a barrel on the London-based ICE Futures Europe exchange. Prices climbed 95 cents, or 2.1 percent, to $46.83 on Wednesday. The global benchmark traded at a $1.52 premium to WTI.
