Pt Solid Gold Berjangka ~ Minyak turun karena produsen AS meningkatkan pengeboran sementara kesepakatan antara Rusia dan OPEC atas produksi minyak mentah tetap dalam keseimbangan menjelang pertemuan produksi pada November mendatang.

Kontrak merosot sebanyak 0,6 % di New York. Rig menargetkan minyak mentah di AS naik ke level tertinggi selama tujuh minggu berturut-turut sejak Februari lalu, Baker Hughes Inc mengatakan di situsnya pada hari Jumat. Organisasi Negara-negara Pengekspor Minyak mengharapkan pertemuan pada November nanti anggotanya akan membantu memangkas pasokan. Presiden Vladimir Putin telah berjanji bahwa perusahaan minyak Rusia juga dapat membekukan output, meskipun pemangkasan tersebut kemungkinan akan dapat menekan harga di hanya setengah tingkat pertengahan 2014.

Minyak mentah West Texas Intermediate (WTI) untuk pengiriman November turun sebanyak 28 sen ke level $ 50,07 per barel di New York Mercantile Exchange dan berada di level $ 50,08 pada pukul 10:00 pagi waktu Sydney. Kontrak merosot sebanyak 9 sen ke level $ 50,35 pada Jumat lalu. Total volume perdagangan sekitar 78 % di bawah 100-hari rata-rata.

Brent untuk pengiriman Desember turun sebanyak 20 sen atau 0,4 %, ke level $ 51,75 per barel di ICE Futures Europe exchange yang berbasis di London. (Pt Solid Gold Berjangka)

Oil fell as U.S. producers increased drilling while an accord between Russia and OPEC over crude output remained in the balance ahead of a November production meeting.

Futures dropped as much as 0.6 percent in New York. Rigs targeting crude in the U.S. rose a seventh consecutive week to the highest level since February, Baker Hughes Inc. said on its website Friday. The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries is hopeful a November meeting of its members will help trim a supply glut. President Vladimir Putin has vowed Russian oil companies may also freeze output, although a cut is seen as less likely as producers grapple with prices at just half the level of mid-2014.

West Texas Intermediate for November delivery fell as much as 28 cents to $50.07 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange and was at $50.08 at 10:00 a.m. in Sydney. The contract fell 9 cents to $50.35 on Friday. Total volume traded was about 78 percent below the 100-day average.

Brent for December settlement fell as much as 20 cents, or 0.4 percent, to $51.75 a barrel on the London-based ICE Futures Europe exchange.
