Pt Solid Gold Berjangka ~ Minyak mempertahankan keuntungan setelah data industri menunjukkan bahwa stok minyak mentah AS menurun dan di tengah tanda-tanda produksi OPEC mulai menurun sebelum kelompok dan negara-negara produsen lainnya menerapkan penurunan produksi tahun ini.

Minyak berjangka sedikit berubah di New York setelah naik 1,8 persen pada Rabu kemarin. persediaan minyak mentah AS turun 7,43 juta barel pekan lalu, American Petroleum Institute mengatakan dalam satu laporan. Data pemerintah Kamis ini juga diperkirakan akan menunjukkan penurunan. Produksi OPEC turun 310.000 per hari di bulan Desember di tengah gangguan di Nigeria, menurut survei Bloomberg. Oil held gains after industry data showed U.S. crude stockpiles declined and amid signs OPEC output began slipping before the group and other producing nations implement output cuts this year.

Futures were little changed in New York after climbing 1.8 percent Wednesday. U.S. crude inventories dropped by 7.43 million barrels last week, the American Petroleum Institute was said to report. Government data Thursday is also forecast to show a decline. OPEC production fell by 310,000 a day in December amid disruptions in Nigeria, according to a Bloomberg survey. The figures exclude Indonesia, which suspended its membership on Nov. 30.

West Texas Intermediate for February delivery was at $53.20 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, down 6 cents, at 9:02 a.m. in Hong Kong. Total volume traded was about 65 percent below the 100-day average. The contract gained 93 cents to $53.26 on Wednesday. Prices increased 45 percent last year, the first gain since 2013.

Brent for March settlement lost 10 cents to $56.36 a barrel on the London-based ICE Futures Europe exchange. The contract rose 99 cents, or 1.8 percent, to $56.46 a barrel on Wednesday. Prices advanced 52 percent in 2016. The global benchmark crude traded at a premium of $2.21 to March WTI.
