dolar 5Solid Gold Berjangka ~ Dolar AS stabil pada hari Senin, pulih setelah penurunan hari Jumat meskipun laporan pekerjaan AS yang kuat, seiring investor menunggu pertemuan kebijakan Federal Reserve minggu ini di mana The Fed diperkirakan akan menaikkan suku bunga sebesar seperempat persentase poin.

Kenaikan suku bunga akan mendorong dolar seiring hal itu meningkatkan daya tarik aset AS.

Federal Open Market Committee akan mengadakan pertemuan kebijakan moneter dua hari, yang dimulai pada hari Selasa. Dana berjangka Fed pada hari Senin telah melihat di kesempatan hampir 90 persen Fed akan menaikkan suku bunga Rabu nanti.

Dalam perdagangan sore, dolar sedikit menguat terhadap sekeranjang mata uang di level 101,33 dan sedikit naik terhadap euro. Mata uang tunggal Eropa ini terakhir di berada di level $ 1,0658, turun 0,1 persen.

Indeks dolar sebelumnya jatuh ke level terendah dua minggu dari level 101,01.

Sterling, yang telah menjadi salah satu pemain terburuk terhadap dolar dua minggu terakhir, naik setengah persen setelah Skotlandia menuntut hak untuk mengadakan referendum baru pada kemerdekaan.

The dollar was steady on Monday, recovering after Friday’s losses despite a robust U.S. jobs report, as investors looked to this week’s Federal Reserve’s policy meeting in which it is expected to raise rates by a quarter percentage point.

An interest rate rise would boost the dollar as it enhances the appeal of U.S. assets.

The Federal Open Market Committee will hold a two-day monetary policy meeting, which starts on Tuesday. Fed funds futures on Monday have priced in a nearly 90-percent chance the Fed will hike rates on Wednesday.

In afternoon trading, the dollar was slightly stronger against a basket of currencies at 101.33 and was marginally up against the euro. The single European currency was last at $1.0658, down 0.1 percent.

The dollar index earlier fell to a two-week low of 101.01.

Sterling, which has been one of the worst performers against the dollar the last two weeks, rose half a percent after Scotland demanded the right to hold a new referendum on independence.

Sterling held gains against the dollar rising 0.5 percent to $1.2231. Against the yen, the dollar was little changed at 114.77 yen.
