Futures naik sebanyak 0,3 persen di New York setelah naik 0,6 persen pada hari Kamis. Oil held gains above $51 a barrel as stockpiles at the biggest U.S. crude-storage hub declined, while OPEC and other producing nations curb output to ease a global glut.

Futures climbed as much as 0.3 percent in New York after rising 0.6 percent on Thursday. Supplies at Cushing, the delivery point for West Texas Intermediate, dropped by 1.27 million barrels last week, the most since October, according to a government report. Nationwide crude inventories unexpectedly expanded. There is �very strong� compliance with the pledged output cuts and most producers are exceeding commitments, according to Saudi Arabia.

WTI for February delivery, which expires Friday, rose as much as cents 16 cents to $51.53 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Total volume traded was about 91 percent below the 100-day average. The more-active March future gained 16 cents to $52.28 at 7:23 a.m. in Hong Kong. Front-month prices are down 1.6 percent this week.

Brent for March settlement added 24 cents, or 0.5 percent, to $54.16 a barrel on the London-based ICE Futures Europe exchange on Thursday. The global benchmark crude ended the session at a premium of $2.04 to March WTI.
