Minyak berjangka naik sebanyak 1,1 persen di New York, memangkas penurunan sebesar 4,4 persen di Rabu. Persediaan AS turun untuk pekan kedelapan, penurunan terpanjang sejak Juni 2015, menurut Informasi Administrasi Energi. Persediaan bensin naik 1,21 juta barel, sementara analis telah memperkirakan penurunan. Permintaan untuk bahan bakar jatuh pada minggu yang termasuk libur Hari Kemerdekaan – biasanya periode puncak konsumsi â�� terkait peningkatan peroduksi.

Minyak mentah West Texas Intermediate untuk pengiriman Agustus naik sebanyak 47 sen ke $ 45,22 per barel di New York Mercantile Exchange, dan berada di $ 45,17 pada 10:28 pagi waktu Tokyo. Angka tersebut jatuh $ 2,05 untuk berakhir di $ 44,75 pada hari Rabu, terendahnya sejak 10 Mei Jumlah volume perdagangan sekitar 57 persen di bawah rata-rata 100-harinya.

Oil halted its decline after closing at the lowest level in two months as investors weighed U.S. data that showed crude stockpiles slid and fuel inventories unexpectedly grew.

Futures gained as much as 1.1 percent in New York, paring Wednesdayâ��s 4.4 percent slump. U.S. supplies fell an eighth week, the longest losing streak since June 2015, according to the Energy Information Administration. Gasoline inventories rose 1.21 million barrels, while analysts had forecast a decline. Demand for the fuel fell during the week that included the Independence Day holiday — usually a peak consumption period — as output increased.

West Texas Intermediate crude for August delivery rose as much as 47 cents to $45.22 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, and was at $45.17 at 10:28 a.m. Tokyo time. The grade fell $2.05 to settle at $44.75 on Wednesday, the lowest since May 10. Total volume traded was about 57 percent below the 100-day average.

Brent for September settlement gained as much as 42 cents, or 0.9 percent, to $46.68 a barrel on the London-based ICE Futures Europe exchange. The contract dropped 4.6 percent to $46.26 a barrel on Wednesday. The global benchmark crude traded at 78-cent premium to WTI for September delivery.
